Powder Coated Earrings Workshop

1 Day Workshop, Jan. 15, 2023, Sunday, 10 - 3:30 pm, $245

Learn how to use the dry powder coating process to add a colorful metal finish to your jewelry pieces. You will design and create two pairs of earrings using sheet metal. During this process, you will also learn how to pierce and cut metal and make cold connections and earring wires to create your own unique designs.

Registration closes Tuesday, January, 10th. The materials fee is included in the class price. No experience is required. Must be at least 14 years of age to participate.

We are thrilled to have Gabriela Alvarado as a new jeweler and class instructor at Heidi Lowe Gallery. Gabriela was born and raised in Mexico City, where she later attended the School of Architecture for several years. She then moved to Texas and earned her Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Metals and Jewelry at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Gabriela worked as a teaching assistant at UTEP for two years and later became the research assistant for the Metals + Jewelry Program. Her passion for using pure, simple shapes and forms has focused her work on minimalism, precision and detail.
